College Orientation Introduction

All Occassions

It is my pleasure to introduce today’s speaker, Nancy Hunter Denney - a nationally recognized author and inspirational educator with a passion for life and leadership.

In 1993, after living everyone else’s definition of having it all, Ms. Denney resigned from her administrative duties in higher education to raise her own children, spend more time with her husband, start her own speaking business, and pursue her true passions in life.

One of those passions is inspiring individuals to turn opportunities – like college – into an obligation to make the world a better place – one person at a time. Towards this end, Ms. Denney specializes in non-profit helping organizations, women’s conferences and higher education. She is a frequent keynoter at state, regional and national conferences in higher education and has appeared on over 800 campuses. In addition, today’s speaker has appeared with Dr. Phil, Suze Orman, Soledad O’Brien and Amanda Gore.

Ms. Denney is the author of two books: Life by Design and Zing! Your Life and Leadership, as well as, being a contributing author to Let Your Leadership Speak, Lessons from the Road: Inspiring Insights by Leading Speakers in Education and the most recently released collaboration entitled: The Now Factor: 21 Facts on College Success. HOLD UP BOOK.

It won’t take long to discover that today’s speaker not only walks the talk, but talks the walk. She actively participates in her community, serves as a mentor in the Big Brother Big Sister Program and shares profits from her book sales with the ACPA Foundation and Alternatives in Motion – a wonderful charity which provides wheelchairs for those who can’t afford them. As you are about the experience, her passion for life and love of learning is contagious.

Her other great passions include her husband, two children, sailing, rearranging perfectly fine rooms in her home, and watching her identical twin sister get older.

Now, it is my distinct pleasure to introduce - from the coast of Massachusetts - author, educator, community volunteer, business owner, wife and first mate, Nancy Hunter Denney.
