College Leadership Introduction

It is my pleasure to introduce today’s speaker, Nancy Hunter Denney - a nationally recognized author and inspirational educator with a passion for life and leadership.

Nancy’s leadership experiences began while attending the State University of New York at Oswego where she assumed many leadership positions including resident advisor, orientation leader, admission tour guide and student coordinator of the traveling orientation program. In addition, she played Varsity tennis, double majored in psychology and communication studies, was a member of the Psi Chi, residence hall council and numerous student organizations. Nancy graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Nancy specializes in non-profit helping organizations, women’s leadership organizations and higher education. She has appeared on over 800 college and university campuses, and is a frequent keynote speaker at national, regional and state conferences in higher education. In recent years, she has appeared on stage with Dr. Phil, Suze Orman, Soledad O’Brien, Amanda Gore, Sarah Weddington, and Dana Reeve. Corporate clients range from Deloitte-Touche to Century 21.

A dedicated writer, Nancy is the sole author of two books; Life by Design and Zing! Your Life and Leadership. She is a contributing author to Let Your Leadership Speak and her most recent release -- Lessons from the Road: Inspirational Insights by Leading Speakers in Education; which she also coordinated and published through her new company, Zing! Leadership Development Systems, LLC.

It won’t take long to discover that today’s speaker not only walks the talk, but talks the walk. She actively participates in her community, serves as a mentor in the Big Brother Big Sister Program and shares profits from her book sales with the ACPA Foundation and Alternatives in Motion – a wonderful charity which provides wheelchairs for those who can’t afford them. As you are about the experience, her passion for life and leadership is contagious!

Her other great passions include her husband, two children, sailing and watching her identical twin sister get older. Now, it is my distinct pleasure to introduce - from the coast of Massachusetts - author, educator, community volunteer, business owner, wife and first mate, Nancy Hunter Denney.
