GENERAL AUDIENCES – Short Version

Nancy Hunter Denney is a nationally recognized keynote speaker, author, leadership trainer and educator. She is an educator who seeks to inspire in others a personal sense of responsibility, leadership and obligation for serving a greater social good. To reach this goal, she passionately presents original ideas, theories and lessons on life and leadership while possessing a unique ability to teach audience members how to apply them.

A dedicated writer, Nancy is the sole author of two books; Life by Design and Zing! Your Life and Leadership. She is a contributing author to Let Your Leadership Speak and her most recent release -- Lessons from the Road: Inspirational Insights by Leading Speakers in Education; which she also coordinated and published through her new company, Zing! Leadership Development Systems, LLC.

Prior to starting her own speaking business in 1993, Ms. Denney worked in higher education student affairs – an experience which differentiates her from many other speakers and speaks to her love of helping others learn and grow through maximization of effective teaching methods and practices. Nancy is an active member of her community. She participates in the Big Sister Big Brother Program of New Bedford, serves on the Christian Education Committee of her church and supports community agencies through proceeds from her book sales. On the national level she serves on the ACPA Foundation Board and is on the Advisory Council to the National Conference on Student Leadership.

Nancy resides in Marion, MA with her two children, husband and sailboat.

She earned a Masters Degree from Bowling Green State University and began her career in student affairs at Case Western Reserve University. In 1993 she left Worcester Polytechnic Institute to begin her own speaking business, spend more time with her family and discover her true passions in life. Since then, she has earned a national reputation for captivating audiences with her high energy, insightful strategies and sense of humor. She has appeared on over 800 campuses and has keynoted numerous state, regional and national conferences in higher education. Nancy is the sole author of Life by Design, and Zing! Your Life and Leadership. She is a contributing author, as well as, publisher and project manager of two additional books, including her most recent project: Lessons from the Road: Inspirational Insights by Leading Speakers in Education.
